INJURED WORKERS' ADVOCATE - Gail Cumming
WORKERS COMPENSATION EXPERT {WCE}
Knowledge and Experience
I am an independent advocate with 40 years’ knowledge and experience dealing with the Workers Compensation Board and
I am helping WCB injured workers that need support.
I advocate and represent injured workers dealing with Alberta WCB claims with all my empathy and understanding permanent
work injury claims and appeals
I AM NOT ASSOCIATED WITH ANY OTHER ORGANIZATION INCLUDING; UNIONS AND WCB.
There is no negotiation on your benefits. If you’re entitled to benefits then I fight for your benefits.
I have worked on all types of complex injury claims with physical, psychological injuries and permanent disabilities and fought
for workers' right to Compensation longer than any other advocate.
The psychological and financial effect on workers and families is devastating. Injured workers' should be compensated.
So many injured workers' with horror stories and so very few "fakers."
Who would want to deal with WCB and the bureaucracy?
I have attended every WCB Annual meeting since 2008 UNTIL 2019 when the new president changed the forum from open to
closed with no question or answer period.
I continue to contributed to the legislative changes
Lobby for change in the Canadian and Alberta Government
I UNDERSTAND THE SYSTEM AND THE "THINK TANK"“

Knowledge
5. Are they working for you?
Finding an Advocate:
You will always be able to find "free chat line"
(Copycat websites)
"Talk for free." (Talk is cheap).
"Team" to help you.
If they have a "team" put faces on the players.
Have them put an action plan together for you before you hire them.
Will they follow up the call in an email with recommendations?
Ensure you ask an advocate questions and make sure you know that they are independent from the WCB and Appeals Commission
If an advocate is paid by the government sponsored by WCB are they truly independent?
If the WCB, Appeals Commission and Alberta Government is giving free advertising for elite advocacy services
Do you trust them?
Union Representatives
Did you know WCB offers free seminars and training to them to have the same "think tank" approach to claims management?
Do you DOUBT the free or paid Advocacy Services available to you (union etc.)?
