Change required: Today in the news are the stories of injured veterans suffering from Government cutbacks. There is surprise that pensions changed to lump sum payments on a "one time bases." This occurred to injured worker of Alberta in 1995.
Difference is the Veterans are dealing with the Federal Conservative Government and the Injured Workers of Alberta are dealing with the Provincial Conservative Government
The Conservative Government federally and provincially lack the empathy required to deal with the issues affecting the public. It is absolutely the Government that has the right to change the rules. Isn't it the job of politicians to address issues of the citizens?
